How much does Active Birth Teacher Training cost?
This is a very comprehensive training with a highly experienced team of teachers. We have kept the cost as low as possible and made it as easy as possible for you to pay the training fees. There has been no price increase for 2019. For this reason we are not able to offer discounts or concessionary places. Many applicants have been successful in obtaining funding for this highly regarded course.
We have also calculated carefully that you should be able to recoup your investment after you get going. You will then have a long term reliable income, doing rewarding work you are passionate about, which changes the world for the better and is profoundly meaningful in the lives of your clients.

Essential teaching aids you will need on the course
You must have with you a full-size model of a female pelvis and a fetal doll during this training. These will be the teaching aids you will be using all the time in your own classes or workshops in future, and you will be learning to use them during the course. This is an essential investment in your teaching career, so we urge you once your application has been accepted, to purchase these items as soon as you can.
These are the items you need on the course:
We would like you to use the models we recommend as best. People who have ordered other versions have found them not as good and as these are such an essential long term teaching aid and investment, we strongly advise you buy these.
1. Articulated Female Pelvis (Ref ZJY-590-G) from Educational & Scientific Products: http://espmodels.co.uk
2. Newborn size doll from HealthEdco : http://www.healthedco.co.uk/79814-Fetal-Model
You will also need a detachable umbilical cord and placenta for your workshops, However these are not required on the course where we will be showing you samples of the ones we recommend and giving you details for ordering.
Optional Teaching Wall Charts
These charts of the birth process, the hormones of labour and birth and the uterus are designed and drawn by Janet Balaskas and are a compact version of the ones she will use on the course. They make it much easier to teach the material, You can purchase a set while you are there but must place your order in advance or on the first day. They cost is £150 for the set and are printed on laminated paper that is long lasting. Payment is to Janet in cash at the end of the course.
