Mothers Talking
with Naomi Stadlen
This weekly meeting for mothers and their babies takes place every Thursday afternoon from 2.00-3.30pm at the Active Birth Centre. Talking may sound like a luxury for a mother. But it isn’t. Talking affirms the importance of what we are doing as mothers. Few jobs other than motherhood leave us so alone, so unsupported, and with so much responsibility. As mothers we face all kinds of decisions, no matter how
unprepared and inexperienced we may be. Relationships with family,
friends and colleagues may also change. It is heartwarming to discover,
by talking, how much we all share as mothers. Mothers Talking is not like a casual chat among friends. Its structure encourages discussion. Babies enjoy these meetings too! There is no age limit for them and both breast and bottle fed babies are welcome.
