Baby Resuscitation and First Aid
with Bernadette Rae
This is an essential workshop for all expectant and new parents. Anybody caring for a baby should know how to resuscitate in the event of an emergency. It is very rare for babies to need emergency first aid yet, when a child chokes or has trouble breathing, knowing how to resuscitate properly and effectively can save the baby's life and prevent brain damage. It is surprising how few parents, baby sitters, grandparents and child minders have been taught how to deal with such a situation. This practical workshop will teach you how to do this effectively and safely. You can attend this workshop at any time. We recommend that you come in late pregnancy before the birth of your baby if possible. However, many people come after their baby is born - what is most important is that you acquire and remember these lifesaving skills.
Expectant and new parents are welcome. There will also be a short time given to basic first aid and handouts will be available.
"This was an excellent class, expertly taught by someone who obviously
knew exactly what she was doing. I feel much more confident now about what to do in an emergency."
