Dawn Golten

I first qualified as a homeopath from the London College in 1988 and began my first pregnancy a few months later. The support I received at the Active Birth Centre (1989) was a very affirming and transforming experience enabling me to embark on the journey of motherhood with confidence. Whilst raising my two daughters I maintained a small steady practice keeping the task of parenthood central to my life. Benefiting from homeopathic treatment, they have grown into beautiful and vibrant young adults. I have a deep appreciation for the task of motherhood and empathise closely with the challenges this can bring to parents and especially mothers.

My first career, after completing a Biology & Psychology degree at Keele University in 1979, was as a clinical immunologist, doing ground-breaking research into monoclonal antibodies for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund at The Institute of Child Health, Great Ormond Street. Latterly I worked for 4 years as a movement therapist teaching adults with learning difficulties and mental health challenges. For the last 10 years I have had a keen interest in raw food nutrition and do my best keep up to date with innovations in alternative health care.

I recently (2009) completed a further three year training at the College of Practical Homeopathy and brought my homeopathic "tool box" up to date as well as increasing my knowledge in medical sciences, nutrition and herbs to support, enhance and make the homeopathic prescription even more effective. I like to create a calm, caring atmosphere in my consultations and form a respectful partnership with you as we explore and work with any health issue you bring. I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association and also practice from my clinic in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.
