ASSESSMENT, CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION
To become a Janet Balaskas Active Birth Workshop © Teacher (FEDANT accredited) you will need to attend the full four days of training and pass an assessment. The assessment will be made during the teaching practise sessions and will also be based on your teaching notes. Your certificate will be sent to you once you have passed the assessment. There will be opportunities after the training to repeat or resit any part of the assessment if required either by appointment on Zoom – so we expect that everyone will pass! Once certified, teachers are listed on this website.
This training falls within the conditions of our Active Birth Professional Training Agreement. You will be required to sign this after booking and return it to us prior to receiving the link to sign in for the course.
USE OF LOGO AGREEMENT
There is also an agreement to sign regarding the use of the logo before you certify.
You will need to give us proof of insurance before you can use the logo and before we can add your name to the certified teachers list on this website. We do have a recommended group insurance scheme you can join if needed.
Amendments regarding the above conditions can be made in countries where they are not applicable; for those teaching within an institution or NHS trust where the classes are funded. Apply to Janet Balaskas through email@example.com.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Once booked, your place is reserved for you and is non-refundable except in exceptional extenuating circumstances such as a bereavement, serious illness or admission to hospital. In such an event please inform us as soon as you can. A deferment to the next course may be agreed. The final date for submitting requests for a deferment or a refund is by the start date of the course.
Due to the uncertainty of the times, we reserve the right to cancel the course. In the unlikely eventuality of a cancellation of the course on our part, full refunds will apply.
We are proud that this training programme has been accredited by the Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT).
